Save the wild

Goat kids give birth to their fawns in the hay so that they can escape the sight of predators. Unfortunately, because these young animals' natural reflex is to crouch on the ground when danger arises, thousands of them die or are horribly mutilated when the hay is mown.

Who are we?

The ASBL works on a voluntary basis to detect and save fawns, hares and nests hidden in fields before they are mown. Sauvons Bambi's 60 pilots get up very early in the morning to scour the fields, before the mowing, with drones equipped with thermal cameras and then put the small animals detected out of danger. The pilots are volunteers, but they lack drones and thermal imaging cameras.

What are your donations used for?

75%

of your donations enable us to buy drones. We only have 15 drones at the moment. Thanks to your donations, we will be able to buy additional drones with thermal cameras (€6,000/piece) so that we can save fawns in several areas at the same time.

25%

of your donations enable us to cover the various running costs of the ASBL (switchboard, licences and flight permits, travel, etc.). Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to maintain and even increase our activities.

We do a number of things

  • Putting drone pilots in touch with farmers
  • Raising awareness among farmers
  • Rescuing fawns, hares and nesting birds
  • Animal census carried out in nature reserves and plains
  • Training volunteers to rescue fawns

Why make a donation?

Make a direct impact

Rest assured that every euro invested will contribute, in complete transparency, to measurable and tangible results in the preservation of wildlife.

Avoid massacres

Every year, thousands of animals die or are mutilated by farm machinery.

Farmers are powerless in the face of this fate, but our drones now exist to prevent these massacres and mutilations.

Preserve life

Making a donation means investing directly in the protection of local wildlife in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Your contribution will help save fawns, but also greyhounds and other vulnerable birds.
