Let's avoid the silent tragedies caused by mowing
At the dawn of spring, our meadows are a source of natural refuge for many wild animals. Every year, thousands of animals lose their lives in atrocious suffering, despite all the precautions taken by those working in the field when haymaking period which coincides with that of births.
Let's save the wildlife in our fields
Every spring, the meadows become a haven for wildlife. Visit fawns, roe deer and ground-nesting birds find the tall grass a natural shelter from predators. However, when working in the fields, their instinct to remain motionless in the face of danger becomes their greatest weakness. Invisible to farm machinery, they are numerous to perish every year.
But the drama doesn't end there. The carcasses left in mown fields can lead to contamination with botulisma bacterium that is fatal to farm animals. The development of botulism in fields represents a major serious health hazard which affects livestock and the entire food chain.
At Sauvons Bambi, our volunteer pilots use thermal drones to spot these animals before mowingthe make safe and prevent this ecological and health drama.

Notify us 24 hours before mowing and we'll be taking action free of charge.
