Let’s avoid the silent tragedies caused by mowing
At the dawn of spring, our meadows provide a natural refuge for many wild animals. Every year, thousands of them lose their lives in excruciating pain, despite all the precautions taken by those in the field during the hay mowing period, which coincides with the birthing season.
Saving wildlife in our fields
Every spring, meadows transform into a refuge for wildlife. Fawns, leverets, and ground-nesting birds find natural shelter from predators in the tall grass. However, during agricultural work, their instinct to remain motionless in the face of danger becomes their greatest weakness. Invisible to agricultural machinery, many perish every year.
But the tragedy does not end there. Carcasses left in mown fields can lead to contamination by botulism, a deadly bacterium for livestock. The development of botulism in fields represents a serious health hazard affecting livestock and the entire food chain.
At Sauvons Bambi, our volunteer pilots use thermal drones to locate these animals before mowing, ensure their safety, and prevent this ecological and health tragedy.

Request a free intervention in your field
Are you a farmer, agricultural contractor, or landowner wishing to preserve wildlife (fawns, leverets, and nesting birds) in your fields? Notify us 24 hours before mowing and we will intervene free of charge. Equipped with drones featuring thermal cameras, our volunteer pilots will ensure wild animals are detected to keep them safe before your agricultural work begins.

☀️ Ce week-end, notre superbe équipe de bénévoles était présente à Bastogne pour les portes ouvertes chez Bilagri Sprl, un événement organisé par la FJA (Fédération des Jeunes Agriculteurs). L'occasion idéale pour aller à la rencontre des différents acteurs de terrain, d'échanger et de nouer des partenariats précieux. 🚜 Chez Sauvons Bambi, nous agissons concrètement sur le terrain pour protéger la faune sauvage. Mais notre combat passe aussi par la sensibilisation !
